Bio

The Smooth DJ was founded by Gautam Banerjee, a recent graduate of engineering management at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Gautam's interest lies in the strategic management of technology with a focus on technology-media convergence. He hopes to use this website as a forum to share ideas and generate discussion about the state of digital media, and how companies can better serve consumers by understanding their needs and expectations.

Gautam's research in digital media includes a 5-year roadmap for Apple's iPod and iTunes and Digital Media Commerce in a Web 2.0 World.  He earned his BASc in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo, and has 6 years industry experience dealing with hardware engineering, project management, and product marketing.
